2020 Campaign Update:
We met our goal of raising $20,000 for the 2020 ROOTS Africa campaign. We launched the 2020 campaign because $20 can save the lives of an African family for an entire month during this pandemic by keeping them safe at home with all their essential needs. For many Africans, the immediate concern is not the virus - it's surviving a lockdown.
Sustainable Agriculture in Liberia:
Increased agricultural knowledge: Farmers learned about basic principles and practices regarding soil health.
Increased understanding of agribusiness opportunities: Farmers learned about record-keeping, budgeting, planning for a business, marketing, and adding value to products.
Increased awareness of locally available resources: Farmers were aware of resources such as soil testing, disease diagnosis, and farm management planning.
